How the wreath supply estimate works
Size starts with the display area
The door result uses a visible percentage range and common finished wreath sizes. It does not promise that a form will clear every handle or storm door.
Each bow part is counted
Loops are doubled from center to bend and back. Tails, the center wrap, bow count, and waste are then added before roll rounding.
Your technique controls mesh
Attachment points, pieces per attachment, layers, and cut length determine total material. Roll count always rounds upward.
bow length = ((loops × 2 × one-way loop) + (tails × tail length) + center wrap) × bows × (1 + waste)
piece count = attachment points × pieces per attachment × layers
rolls needed = round up(total length ÷ roll length)
Worked example
A ten-loop bow
Ten loops with a 4.5 inch one-way loop length use 90 inches. Two 12 inch tails and a 6 inch center wrap bring one bow to 120 inches.
With 10% waste, the estimate becomes 132 inches, or 3.67 yards. One 10 yard roll covers that bow with material remaining.

Does a 24 inch wreath always require two mesh rolls?
No. Roll use changes with attachment count, pieces per attachment, layers, cut length, fullness, and waste. Enter the technique you plan to use instead of relying on a fixed rule.
Is the door result the form size or finished wreath size?
It is a visual range for the finished outside diameter. The starting form can be smaller because mesh, greenery, florals, and ribbon add width.
What does one-way loop length mean?
Measure from the bow center to the outer bend of one loop. The calculator doubles that distance to count the trip back to the center.
Should every ribbon color use the same roll calculation?
Only if every layer uses the same number and length of pieces. Calculate each ribbon style separately when their cuts or layer counts differ.
